Never one to give up, in 2014 Libby, James and the kids gave moving out of the city another crack, this time they have found the place of their dreams, and have settled well in the community of Bowral where they have now made their permanent home.
Libby’s Professional Experience reads like a who’s who of brands:
Libby Malcolm built her first website for Worksafe Australia in 1993 and uploaded her first banner ad in 1994. As Head of Interactive Media for Fitch, London (Top 3 UK Brand Consultancy) and USWeb she lead the team that launched debenhams.com and a pioneering interactive TV interface for Sony. Libby worked on her first mobile site for Shell in 1999. Libby has worked on digital media strategies for Nestle, Unilever, CommBank, CommSec, Rothschild, JS Sainsburys, News Ltd, Inspirations Paint, Amex, Compaq and many more.
In 2011 Libby leveraged her passion for branding and created lean start up brand Gelicious. Gelicious Cosmetics now sells product around the globe with operations in the Southern Highlands of NSW, Sydney, London and Hong Kong.
Libby is a passionate believer that business needs to fundamentally change how it operates in order to hire parents (not just women) into the workforce, and to have them succeed. For the next generation of youth to be stable, and quality of life to be high for families, business needs to recognise its role in the lives of its high performers and change the 9-5 mentality while still focussing on profit. All Gelicious staff work flexibly, including Libby.
